Radon gas add-on services.

Make sure you investment isn’t at risk and keep safe.

Radon is a radioactive gas that emanates naturally from soil and rock. It enters buildings through cracks from the outside or underground, and is usually highest in basements and crawl spaces. Nation wide, one-in-fifteen homes have elevated radon levels, and radon exposure accounts for 21,000 deaths from lung cancer each year. Radon exposure can lead to trouble breathing, shortness of breath, new or worsening cough, chest pain or tightness, difficulty swallowing, and even poisoning.

Accurate radon testing is the only sure way to determine if a property has radon, which can’t be smelled or seen. Our professional inspectors have extensive experience with radon testing, giving you added peace of mind when you health and safety are at stake.

If you have elevated radon, you’ll need to get a contractor to investigate further and determine the appropriate remediaton. Highly recommended for properties with basements, particularly finished basements. We use the EPA guidelines to determine elevated levels.

If you suspect your property may have radon, or just want to sleep more soundly at night, don’t wait. Schedule radon testing as an add-on service with us. If you think you or a loved one has been exposed to elevated radon, contact your doctor right away.

Our process and what we inspect.

Our standard radon testing process involves placing sampling cartridges in the lowest area of your home or building for 48 hours. Once the testing is complete, we retrieve them and send them to the lab to be analyzed. We typically have the results in about six business days.
