If you have elevated radon, you’ll need to get a contractor to investigate further and determine the appropriate remediaton. Highly recommended for properties with basements, particularly finished basements. We use the EPA guidelines to determine elevated levels.

Our process and what we inspect.
Our standard radon testing process involves placing sampling cartridges in the lowest area of your home or building for 48 hours. Once the testing is complete, we retrieve them and send them to the lab to be analyzed. We typically have the results in about six business days.
The cartridges use a patented liquid scintillation technology to quickly and accurately determine the amount of indoor gas according to EPA standards.

How to prepare for your radon inspection.
Before
- Send your radon inspector your specific questions or concerns.
- Maintain closed–property conditions 24 hours prior to the test and durring the test. Do not open doors and windows for two days, except for normal entry and exit. This allows for the most accurate inspection.
During
- Radon testing takes at least two days. During this time, please do not disturb the cartridges.
- During the radon testing, please continue to keep doors and windows closed, except for normal entry and exit.
After
- Read your radon gas inspection report thoroughly. Your inspector will review this with you on-site or via phone to answer any questions.
- No matter how minor the issue may seem, ask questions now.
- Use report as a guide to know what to fix, or get bids by qualified contractors to fix.
- If tied to a real estate sale, you will work with a realtor to create a request list. Our inspection reports include free access to an online CRL feature that's integrated with the report.
